Howdy friend!

I’m excited to see you.

Welcome to my blog, today I want to share two short and game-changing ideas which have improved my mindset and my results.  I will share these ideas with you because I believe they can have the ability to improve your quality of life and your results.

For the last two weeks, I’ve been working as a front desk clerk at a wonderful hotel and I’ve been applying these two powerful ideas. Without further hesitation, let me introduce the first idea which is:

Living Life as an Experiment

I am currently involved in a book study course led by my one of my mentors, Tina Marie St. Cyr, and she presented the idea of Treating Life as an Experiment.

The course is 10 weeks long so she introduced this idea by having her students agree to leaving doubt, worry, stress, fear, anxiety, etc. behind for the duration of the course.

I decided to leave expectations behind as well. As a result, I find myself disappointed less often because life is always a surprise in the way that things unravel.

Tina Marie concluded the idea by communicating that whatever works, keep it. And if it doesn’t work out in your experiment, then remove those elements and try again with new thoughts and plans.

I encourage you to try this idea out.  Pick a period of time, perhaps the next few days or week to live your life like an experiment. Leave the fear, worry, self-doubt, wanting to be normal, hesitation all behind and step into a limitless, courageous, and open-minded experiment.

Once you possess that mindset to experiment and create, you can become obsessed which is the second idea I want to present in this post:

Granting Yourself Permission to be Obsessed

I must introduce you to a new mentor of mine, Mr. Grant Cardone.  He is a motivational speaker and also an author. Here is a small video that he has produced which I watch almost on a daily basis to elevate my mindset to do an outstanding job at work.

Grant’s dedication is infectious and this idea of giving yourself permission to be obsessed has radically changed the way I learn on and off of my job. I want to learn everything, I am really not holding back.

Every day is another chance for me to develop my burning obsessions in life.

But enough about me, are you open to any of these ideas?

I know they aren’t simple and elegant however they have proven to be effective mindset hacks for me to get desirable results. Anyhow,

Please comment on what you are obsessed about! 🙂

    • Dear Luckmini,

I have been fortunate to develop an obsession for my job as a hotel front desk clerk. Now work is very central to my focus and I find satisfaction in giving my best effort on the clock.

I appreciate your participation and I hope you are giving that same amount of focus and energy to accomplish what you desire in your life.

I love this quote you shared by Lebron James:

“You can’t be afraid to fail. It’s the only way you succeed – you’re not gonna succeed all the time, and I know that.”

Let us take action today and not be afraid to fail! I am really glad to be in connection with you, have a brilliant day and please continue to blog Luckmini! 🙂

      • Hi Delles,
Great to hear that you love your work. I have come to realise that if you manage your time wisely, you are more productive so I try and focus on my outcomes.
I agree too with the quote by Lebron James, it is sometimes through failing that you achieve your biggest success. It is through learning and evolving that you grow and unless you take action to achieve your dreams, your situation will not change. Happy to connect with you too and have a wonderful day.

  1. Hey Delles, your article resonates with me greatly, especially during this time in my life. Being a young entrepreneur, you HAVE to experiment. The lack of experience that young people have forces them to either experiment or stay average because if you don’t experiment you will never find that one thing that you decide will be your obsession. Sometimes I think I chose the right path but often times I am wrong and your article confirms that I shouldn’t be too hard on myself that I chose the wrong path, life is an experiment and I am moving forward and thats all that matters! Thanks for the great article, i look forward to more!

    • Dear Paul,

I admire your tenacity and agree with your view of experimentation in life to truly discover our obsession.

I salute you for choosing a path that you deem worthy. Continue towards creating your destiny!

Everyday in every way we are getting better and better. ☺

Today really does matters – thank you for reading my work and being a great friend!

  2. Good morning, Delles!
Your blogged has blown me away with enthusiasm & joy this Friday.
Today, I am going into my work with a “the sky’s the limit” belief.
Most days, I do, but after reading your blog, something has shifted in me to higher level. No longer will I desire an inkling of appreciation, approval, acceptance of my boss, because quite frankly, it never comes anyway. I am always left disappointed when I give my best only to be shutdown. So, I am only hurting myself and letting that inner saboteur get in my way of happiness. I really work for Him and not her! Thanks, Delles, for your inspiration and voice to the world. You are now a favorite of mine to read in the mornings!

    • Good morning, Pam!

Thank you for your kind words, it is always a pleasure to communicate with you.

Being a fellow Abolisher and also a UPW’er, we are always training our minds to soar for the stars and extinguish any self doubt that may arise along the way.

I am truly honored that my blog has shifted you to a higher level! We both have learned that Significance (one of the six human needs) is a difficult need to fulfill.

If we expect that someone will show special interest in us or appreciate us for something we have done and they don’t, then we feel let down.

But if we approach life with no expectations, we are most often pleasantly surprised by the outcome. (at least in my belief, when I keep a positive can-do attitude)

Do not let that inner saboteur get in the way of your happiness! Life is too short for self doubt.

Thank you Pam for being a positive and enlightening influence on my life. 😀
